I was born in Boulder, CO and have been an athlete all my life. I grew
up a swimmer and swam all the way through college at the University of
Iowa where I was a 4 year letter winner, captain of the team my senior
year, and 4 time All Big Ten Academic. I began my pursuit of triathlon
when I did the Boulder Peak at the age of 15, won my age group and
decided after college I was going to try and race professionally. Upon
graduation with a degree in finance I began my racing career and am in
the middle of my fourth season of professional racing. I currently
live with my girlfriend Natalie and my English bulldog puppy Diesel.
